The United Nations' (UN) World Refugee Day is observed on June 20 each year. This event honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence.

»SYRIAN REFUGEES AFTER 2011«
Legitimate rights claims have started in Syria on March in 2011. Assad Regime wasn't a peaceful approach. They answered with guns and blood to the peaceful protests. Because of the way of Assad, lots of people died and many of them were worse than dying. This was one of reasons for an inexorably civil war. One of most severe consequences of civil war was affecting all neighboring countries because Syrians have started to refugee to the neighboring countries. This emigration has started in 2011 and in our day it continues. Number of Syrian refugees is increasing every day. About Syrian refugees who moved to Turkey, the estimated number is around 700 thousands. Around 200 thousands refugees are living in the camp and the others are living all around the Turkey. In the big cities like Istanbul, Izmir, there already lots of Syrian refugees who is living. Syrians who had to leave homeland, refuged to the Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.
The number of refugees is getting bigger every year and it will be the same as long as the civil war continuous in Syria. We have 2 different problems out of the situation. First one is to protect refugees and make them possible live under the best conditions and the second problem is their own country; Syria. Nothing is same in Syria anymore. The war destroyed everything. If there is no country anymore what they will do and how they will back to their homeland?
Governments’ have big responsibilities on Syrian refugees all around the world. Also associations and NGOs should take their responsibilities and they have to make a step on solutions. We have to raise the awareness on public and we shouldn't see refugees as dangerous or bad people anymore. Because some of them was respectful and they were living under good conditions when they were in Syria. War is for all of us. We could be refugees in other country too. We have to take our social responsibility and try to find solutions not temporary but solutions for good.
